We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Sales Advisor (10-20 hour contract) to join our Argento Store, Omagh.

The successful candidate will be required to be flexible to work day, evening and weekend shifts in line with a monthly rota set out by management.

The successful candidates will ensure that they provide excellent customer service, being at all times helpful, cheerful, and knowledgeable about products.

Main duties include: cash handling, sales, customer care, merchandising and cleaning.

Job Duties:

Sales and Customer Service

• Participate in the day-to-day running of the store
• Optimise sales through effective customer service and selling techniques
• Process till transactions effectively, accurately and efficiently; manage queues, as necessary
• Be aware of store sales performance

Product Knowledge

• Be a brand ambassador
• Continually develop an understanding of the company’s culture, products and other areas of business
• Be aware of commercial activity in the store/ business and retail industry
• Maintain an up to date awareness of new stock, best sellers, out of stock lines and layouts

Store Operations

• Keep the store and displays clean and tidy at all times
• Merchandise, re-stock and replenish sales displays and areas
• To unpack deliveries and check dispatch notes in accordance with company procedures
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures
• Support the management team with preparation, launch of sales and stock takes


• Display a high standard of conduct, performance and behaviour at all times, in line with company guidelines, policy and procedure
• Flexibility in changing working days with notice, to meet operational or other seasonal needs
• Offer support and assistance to colleagues where appropriate whilst ensuring own responsibilities are fulfilled

Security and Health & Safety

• Adhere to company security and health and safety policy
• Ensure all fire exits and escape routes are kept free from obstruction
• Be vigilant at all times and to help minimise stock loss
• Report observed hazards/maintenance issues to management

Essential Criteria:
Minimum of 5 GCSE's (or equivalent) including English and Maths
Previous retail experience in a similar environment
Excellent communication skills
Enthusiastic and friendly disposition
Exceptional customer service and sales skills
High levels of accuracy and use of grammar
Experience in the use of Microsoft Office packages
Analytical and problem solving skills
Approachable and flexible attitude to work
Motivated and pro-active
