We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Assistant Manager (40 hour contract) to join our Argento store, Abbey Centre.

Role: Assistant Manager

Location: Abbey Centre

Contract: 40 hour

Pay: £7.14 per hour increasing to £7.65 following successful completion of 6 month probation.  

The successful candidate must have:

• Experience of working towards company targets
• A genuine desire to work for the Argento brand
• Must be highly motivated and enthusiastic
• and be flexible to work day, evening and weekend shifts and additional hours to meet operational need during peak trading times.

Main duties include: staff management (in the absence of the Manager), key holder, cash handling, sales, exceptional customer service, merchandising and cleaning.

You will demonstrate excellent customer service, through product knowledge so as to optimise and sustain sales performance, profitability and customer satisfaction and you will use your commercial knowledge to ensure that your store is merchandised to the highest standard. 

You will ensure sales targets are met using excellent communication skills; ensuring customer service is of the highest level and will focus on training, continuous learning and people development.

You will need to meet company targets and expectations at all times.

Essential Criteria:

The successful candidate must have retail store management/supervisory experience, a strong background in people management, the ability to multitask is also essential for this role, along with exceptional communication, customer service, a strong commercial background, organisational and problem solving skills. Finally you'll need to be educated to a good standard in both numeracy and literacy.
